This week has been a lot of fun. On Monday I mostly worked on my performance improvement project in Shanghai at Couch. I was able to talk to Sharrie Sanders, the supervisor, and Stephanie Pryor, the allergy specialist. We did an assessment of the allergy policy and procedures and I was able to observe and talk to some of the staff. On Tuesday I went back to Shanghai and I continued to work on the project. I also worked on the employee in-service presentation scheduled for Thursday. Wednesday was the best day of the week because we had the Health Fair. It was a really busy day. We served some delicious vegan and gluten-free food, offered lots of healthier food and asked some nutrition-related questions and gave good gifts. I enjoyed talking and interacting to people. This is what I like the most about my rotation at OU Housing and Food Services. On Thursday I finished getting ready for my presentation which was on the afternoon at the managers meeting. I believe I did well for the most part and the attendees learned many things they did not know before about Registered Dietitians. I hope the information I provided will be helpful for them when they work with other interns. On Friday I finished the employee in-service report and I worked on my management review which is almost done.
I cannot believe I just have one week left. I think I will have enough time to finish my last two projects. Time is flying by! I am very thankful for how all the staff at OU Housing and Food is treating me. I really feel like home here!
